Polling places across Palm Beach County are open Aug. 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the 2026 primary election. Election Day voters must use the polling place assigned to their precinct. The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections says voters should verify that location before leaving home because assignments can change between elections. The official Precinct Finder at VotePalmBeach.gov asks for a house number and street name, then returns the precinct number and polling place. Voters can also find the assignment on a voter information card or sample ballot, or call the elections office at 561-656-6200. Bring current photo and signature identification to the polling place.
Pubbelly Sushi opens on Restaurant Row
Chef José Mendín has opened Pubbelly Sushi at 5377 Town Center Road, on Boca Raton's Restaurant Row. Mendín is a five-time James Beard Award semifinalist, which is not a line Boca gets to print often. The menu is tapas-style, Japanese technique crossed with Latin flavors, and it is built for sharing across a table. A few dishes belong to this location alone. There is a yellowtail roll named for Boca Raton and chili salmon sashimi with Asian pear. Branzino arrives with cucumber salsa and truffle honey. Restaurant Row collects new arrivals constantly. Free native plants at Wildflower Park on Aug. 28
The city hands out free native plants and wildflower seeds Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. It happens at Wildflower Park, 551 E. Palmetto Park Road, and it is open to Boca Raton residents. There is no sign-up and no reservation. You walk up, you get in line, and it runs first come until the plants run out. The limit is one plant per household, so this is not a landscaping shortcut. It is one plant and some wildflower seeds. Still, that is the sort of thing you notice a year later. Something in the yard fills in, and you barely remember planting it.
History museum hosts 1930s standards night Thursday
Summer Sips & Sounds returns Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum, 71 N. Federal Highway, with an evening built around beloved standards from the 1930s. Doors and refreshments start at 6 p.m., and the performance begins at 6:30. The full window runs 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 for members and $55 for nonmembers. The program is part of the museum's summer music series, pairing the performance with access to the historic downtown setting.
Lip Sync Battle set for The Studio at Mizner Park
